Here's a constantly updating source, with the current (March, 2017) CA figures vs. the other 49 states' average:<br /><br />CA residential electricity costs an average of 56.1% more per kWh than the average for the other 49 states. CA commercial rates are “only” 46.1% higher. For industrial use, CA electricity is an astonishing 82.0% higher than the other states' average.
